Flavor Profile:  A well balanced coffee, with exceptional flavour and a vanilla-honey aroma.  Full body and soft acidity. Notes of chocolate, cocoa and stone fruits are prominent.
 
About the Central Valley Region
This coffee originates from the Central Valley region.  It is made up of the provinces of San José, Heredia and Alajuela. This is the most highly populated region of Costa Rica, where the capital, San José, is located.
Here, coffee plantations were first established and were then taken to the other seven coffee growing regions.
The country’s diverse climate, terrain and geography make it an ideal place to grow coffee. Costa Rica has a tropical climate with two seasons: the dry season (December to April) and the wet season (May to November).
The high altitude allows the coffee to grow slowly, resulting in a dense bean with a distinct flavour profile, whilst rains and warm temperatures provide the required moisture and warmth.
